Zamira is among many local businesses and charities that have made significant donations to the Kerala Chief Ministers Relief Fund following the devastating floods in the region.

The flooding has been described by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan as one of the worst since 1924.  The rains in Kerala have left over 350 dead and rendered thousands of people homeless. 80,000 people have been rescued so far and over 1,500 relief camps have been established across the state. The flooding has destroyed 96,000 kilometre of roads, 220 bridges and 57,000 hectares of agricultural land.

“The impact on the people of this region is unprecedented”, said Dr Tapan Saha.  “Our entire team has been shocked and saddened by the devastation and we are all determined to contribute to the recovery efforts.  Each staff member has made a personal donation, together with our company contribution, and we hope this can make a small difference”.

Zamira India was established in 2014, with offices in New Delhi and Chennai and staff located throughout India.  Zamira manufactures and markets a range of animal health products for treatment of diseases and improvement in productivity of food animals.
